The L.E.A.D. Independence experience does not end at graduation. Graduates may stay involved with their fellow class members and the Chamber by joining the L.E.A.D. Alumni organization. This organization aims to build upon the foundations established by each successive L.E.A.D. class.
The organization also seeks to provide opportunities for L.E.A.D. alumni to continue working together to make Independence a better place to live, work and do business.
The L.E.A.D. Alumni Committee conducts a business meeting the second Monday of each month. The committee's goal is to offer ways for L.E.A.D. graduates to stay connected with other graduates by planning quarterly activities for members. Graduates are informed of possible community service projects, business development/educational programs are offered through the Lunch & Learns, a Spring grilled-luncheon in May and a holiday networking lunch in December.
